Why do we call this chopper front end? 

Take a close look at the lower legs.  When you extend the fork tube say 10" over, what you mostly see are long skinny fork tubes. 

Unlike ordinary lower legs, the chopper lower legs will let you show more chrome legs instead of fork tubes.  Above front end is 12" over standard FXST.  However, the lower legs itself are 8" over the regular Softail lower legs.  Thus more beefy look.

This extend chopper lower legs comes in 4", 6" and 8" over.  They are available though V-Twin.
